Our Foundation

The Paralegal Association of Jamaica Limited (PAJ) is a professional organization incorporated in Jamaica on 13 June 2019 under the Companies Act. The Association was established to advance the paralegal profession by promoting excellence, professionalism, ethical practice, continuing education, and advocacy within Jamaica’s legal services sector.

PAJ serves as the national professional body dedicated to supporting paralegals, legal assistants, law students, legal executives, and other legal support professionals through education, certification, networking, mentorship, and career development.

Our goal is to strengthen the delivery of legal services by equipping paralegals with the knowledge, skills, and professional standards necessary to contribute effectively to the administration of justice.

The Mission

To be the leading professional association for paralegals in Jamaica and the Caribbean, recognized for advancing excellence, innovation, and integrity in legal support services.

The Objective

The Association works to advance the paralegal profession by providing certification, professional accreditation, and continuing education opportunities. We maintain a National Register of Certified Paralegals, promote ethical standards, support career development, encourage networking and mentorship, collaborate with legal and educational institutions, and advocate for policies that strengthen the profession.
